Ministers told to expedite projects

LAHORE: The Punjab government on Sunday assigned tasks to provincial ministers and senior officials to ensure timely completion of the ongoing projects so as to provide maximum relief to the people.

The ministers were assigned the task by Chief Minister Syed Moshin Naqvi in a meeting held here.

Punjab Minister Amir Mir was assigned the task to monitor developmentrelated activities at General Hospital followed by Ibrahim Hassan Murad at Mayo Hospital, Wahab Riaz at Dental Hospital, Dr Javed Akram at Children`s Hospital, the tourism secretary at Ganga Ram Hospital and the Lahore commissioner was tasked to oversee PIC projects.

Provincial Minister Dr Jamal Nasir will undertake monitoring of Rawalpindi projects while Bilal Afzal has been assigned the responsibility to undertake monitoring of LahoreRing Road (SL3) and Gujranwala expressway projects.

The CM directed the provincial ministers to visit the projects twice a day daily.

The south Punjab ACS and the Multan commissioner will undertake monitoring of the development projects of their concerned divisions.

`The ministers and officers are required to send daily reports through WhatsApp.

Moreover, the police special branch and other institutions will formulate monitoring reports of the development projects,` the CM said while spealcing on the occasion.

Naqvi stated that the development projects are in their last phases of completion and we cannot afford any negligence or lapse in this regard.

Provincial ministers Amir Mir, Bilal Afzal, Mansoor Qadir, Ibrahim Hassan Murad, Adviser Wahab Riaz, IGP, additional IG Special Branch, health and C&W secretaries, the commissioner and other officials attended the meeting.
