BAHAWALPUR: A woman suffered serious dog bite injuries as three landlords allegedly unleashed their pet dogs on her at Chak 28/ DNB in the limits of Derawar police station in Cholistan.

As per police, Parveen Bibi went to collect firewood from an outhouse, where landlords Javed Iqbal, Umar and Belal allegedly unleashed two dogs on her. The dogs mauled the woman, leaving her injured.

A police team rescued the victim and shifted her to Khutriwala RHC.

A police spokesperson said that taking notice of the incident, DPO Asad Sarfraz directed the Derawar police to register a case against the suspects and arrest them.

Accordingly, on the complaint of the victim`s husband Ashraf, the police registered an FIR against the suspects, who managed to secure interim bail before arrest from a court.

The spokesperson said the victim was discharged from the RHC after her condition improved.-Correspondent
