LAHORE: A young lady dress designer and her maid were shot at and injured by an armed man in Defence on Friday.

Amber, 25, and her maid Javeria, 22, were immediately shif ted to a local hospital where condition of both of them was said to be serious.

Quoting initial inquiries, a police official said Javeria`s husband Abid, along with a friend, visited Amber`s home in the Defence A police jurisdiction. Abid`s friend exchanged harsh words with the family over some issue and then opened fire injuring the two women, he said.

He said police took Abid into custody and registered a case.
