Job fair, exhibition held at Sindh University

DADU: Sindh University (SU) Vice-Chancellor Prof (Meritodous) Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro has urged the final year students of engineering and technology to work with interest and attention on research and problem-solving projects so as to emerge victorious in that wide field.
He was speaking on Wednesday on the Jamshoro campus of the varsity after inaugurating an exhibition showcasing as many as 200 projects prepared by final year students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. A job fair was also organised on the sidelines by different companies, industries and entrepreneurs.
According to a press release issued by SU spokesman Nadir Ali Mugheri, the final year students of information technology, and electronics, software and telecommunication engineering presented different projects prepared in connection with their theses for exhibition in their respective fields, which included security systems, web development, image processing & deep learning, sman agriculture, smart cities, anificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (loT) & nano technology, wireless communication, smart FIR registration software, web/Android App, game development, non-fungible token (NFT), block chain and others. After inaugurating the exhibition at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the VC reviewed the projects and took deep interest in them.
Students briefed him on their respective projects, during which the VC also asked vadous questions and gave suggestions to bring those projects at par with international standard and demand.
He went around to various stalls of the job fair where employment opponunities were available for the youth in companies, industdes and software houses. Accompanied him were Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Khalilur Rahman Khoumbhati, Dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences Prof Dr Wazir Ali Baloch and others.
On the occasion, two students, Tehniyat Rashid and Fariza Siddique, were given away `the best project award`. Later, addressing the conclusion ceremony, the VC said the youth related to IT, electronics, telecommunication and software engineedng were real people who were going to change the world and bHng around a revolution in those fields.
