Dishonouring women

2025-02-26
ONCE a land of traditions and pride, Khuzdar has now become a place where people live under the clouds of fear and lawlessness. The region, which is already struggling with security concerns, now sees an alarming rise in the abduction of women and children. Now even the dignity and sanctity of homes and families are at risk. Girls have been kidnapped simply because they refused some marriage proposal. This is sickening.

There was a time when people in Khuzdar respected women`s honour.

Seeing a dupatta was enough for them to lower their gaze. But, today, those very people have chosen to be silent spectators when girls are forcibly taken from their homes. Why this double standard? They respect their own women and treat them like queens, but when it comes to others` daughters they treat them like dirt? Do these criminals think they are heroes from some movie? Do they believe they can commit such despicable acts in real life? How long will this continue? How many more lives will be destroyed before someone takes action? The daughters of Khuzdar need tobe heardbeforeitistoolate.
