Parco complete treble with T20 Cup victory

KARACHI: Zaeem Baig excelled with the bat as Parco completed the treble by winning the Inter-Petroleum Company T20 Cricket Tournament when they beat Pakistan Refinery Ltd (PRL) by six wickets in the final here on Sunday.
Man of the Match Zaeem smashed an enterprising unbeaten 38 off just 23 balls studded with four boundaries and one six to power his team to easy win in the final at DHA Moin Khan Academy Ground.
Parco MD Tariq Razavi, the chief guest, presented the trophy to winning captain Syed Zahid Hussain while Imran Ahmed Mirza received the runners-up trophy.
Electing to bat first, PRL posted a competitive total of 162 for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Imran Mirza blasted seven fours in his 30-ball 37.
Parco in reply cruised to victory with nine balls to spare.
Zaeem was well supported by Rizwan-ul-Hasan who hammered two boundaries and two sixes in his 41 and Ibrahim Akhtar chipped in with 29.-APP
