USAID role in uplift journey of Sindh praised

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has praised the role of USAID in the development journey of the province and reaffirmed his government`s commitment to deepening its partnership with the agency.

He said this during a meeting with acting US Ambassador Elizabeth Horst, who called on him at the CM House on Friday.

Both sides discussed the progress and future of US development assistance in Sindh. The US consul general in Karachi Scott Urbom and others were also present.

The two sides reviewed completed initiatives and explored future collaboration opportunities in the fields of education, water and sanitation, health, climate resilience and municipal services, said a press release issued from the CM House.

The CM appreciated USAID`s long-standing partnership, highlighting the successful completion of several transformative programmes.

He said USAID was instrumental in supporting Sindh`s development journey and expressed hope that the collaboration will continue to grow in scale and impact.

The acting ambassador acknowledged the Sindh government`s proactive role and reiterated her country`s commitment to supporting Pakistan`s sustainable development through focused and effective cooperation.
