KARACHI: A young man was allegedly shot dead by robbers off the Superhighway early on Sunday morning, said SITE Superhighway Industrial Area police.

They added that armed men were looting two citizens at Akbar Masjid in Fageera Goth when 25-year-old Sanaullah went there apparently to inquireas to what was happening there.

The robbers assumed that he was challenging them and opened fire on him. He sustained a single bullet wound on his chest in the heart and died on the spot. The suspects fled.

The police officer said that purported robbery victims did not approach the police for lodging any case.

The police have registered a murder case against unidentified suspects.
