TAXILA: Three persons were killed while two others injured in separate incidents in the jurisdiction of Fatehjang police station on Friday, police and rescue sources said.

In the first incident, two teenage boys were crushed to death by a mini truck near Bhall Syedian on RawalpindiFatehang road. Police while quoting the family ofthe deceased said that Hassan Ali, 16, along with his friend Mohammad Ibrar, 18, was going on his motorcycle when a mini truck hit killing both of on the spot. The driver managed to escape.

In the second incident, a 45-year-old man drowned in a local pond.

Police while quoting eye witnesses said that Aftab Khan went to a pond to beat the heat where he went into deep waters and drowned. Later Rescue 1122 divers retrieved his body.

Separately, two persons were injured when a speeding passenger van collided head on with a car coming from the opposite direction on Kohat road in the same police station limits. The injured were shifted to tehsil headquarters hospital.

Meanwhile, police on Friday claimed to have arrested a man who had allegedly stabbed and critically injured his wife and mother-in-law over a domestic dispute in Mirza village in the limits of Attock police station.

The victim reported to the police that she had married to Noor Muhammad six years ago and had three kids. She alleged that her husband had been subjecting her to domestic violence and she had gone to her parents`house togetabreak from the daily torture where she and her mother faced the attack.

In another incident, the same police arrested a drug peddler identified as Basharat Sharif and recovered 1.2-kilogramme hashish from his possession.
