LAYYAH: A 17-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man were killed late on Tuesday for honour in mauza Bhand Nashaib in the jurisdiction of the Sadar police, 22 kilomtere from here.

Dawn learned from local resident Manzoor Khan the family of the girl (F) found Tanveer Husain in her room late on Tuesday and beat both to death.

Manzoor said girl`s uncle Ghulam Abbas woke up late on Tuesday after hearing some whispers. He also awoke his brother Haq Nawaz, the father of the girl, and nephew Rashid.

They found the couple in a room and killed them. Saddar police handed over the bodies to their heirs after autopsy and registered a case.
