MULTAN: Two persons were injured on the district courts` premises in a love row on Tuesday.

Agib and Naheed of the Alpa area had tied the knot against the will of the latter`s parents. They had come to the court in pursuance of a case when Naheed`s family interrupted them and tried to force her to go with them. The members of Agib`s family also reacted and tried to free the couple from the girl`s family.

Both the parties used bricks during the clash and two persons, including a woman, were injured in the clash. At last, the police intervened and Naheed`s family failed to take her away.

Naheed told the police she had got married with Agib with her free will and her family was against their marriage.

TORTURED: Three alleged thieves were tortured by the people in the Munirabad area.

One Rashid alleged that the suspects were caught redhanded while stealing valuables from his house.

A team of New Multan police reached there and the suspects informed the police that they were subjected to torture for over two hours without any reason. The police shifted the suspects to the police station. Staff Correspondent
