PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested a passenger at Bacha Khan International Airport here on Monday allegedly for carrying 107 capsules filled with heroin in his stomach, ANF officials said.

The officials said that the accused person was scheduled to leave for Dubai via Gulf Airline flight GF-787, adding that upon suspicion, the ANF officials stopped the accused and questioned him.

They said the accused person, who belonged to Khyber district, was thoroughly checked and an ANF team found that the passenger had ingested the capsules.

“He was questioned and later the ANF officials recovered the capsules,” an ANF official said, adding that the accused was arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the Control of Narcotics Substance (CNS) Act 1997.

Meanwhile, ANF officials also informed that a team recovered 15kg hashish in a raid conducted in Zakhakhel area of Khyber district.
