LAHORE: The President of Pakistan/ Chancellor has constituted a five-member review panel to probe the governance of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) Senate.

Earlier, the president had served a show-cause notice upon the institute`s senate.

In order to probe the controversial administrative missteps, the President of Pakistan has constituted and notified a five-member review panelconvened by aformer BS-22 retired bureaucrat MuhammadSualeh Ahmad Faruqui.

The panel`s other four members are retd Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan; Supreme Court advocate Sabahat Rizivi; Federal Ziauddin University vice-chancellor Prof Dr Ghulam Raza Bhatti; and Chartered Accountant Zeeshan Tayyab.

The review panel, formed on Sept 22, has been assigned examination of the functioning of the Senate of PIFD in light of the matters referred to in the August 25 showcause notice and report to the Chancellor thereon. MANSOOR MAL1K
