I ENDORSE Mohammad Naim`s views that the EOBI pension should be raised to Rs13,000, at par with the minimum wages of workers. These are pensioners who spent their lifetime giving the country a progressive economy. Now, they are retired and need the support of the government to meet their ends.
The finance minister should take immediate and positive steps to rehabilitate retirees.
