PESHAWAR: Leaders of Pasban have expressed grave concern over price hike, lawlessness and unemployment in the country and urged the government to materialise its commitment and remove unrest among the people.
Speaking at a workers convention here on Wednesday, Pasban`s central president Altaf Shakoor said the government had badly failed to mitigate citizens`problems.
He said that people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been facing serious problems for past many years where thousands of people lost their relatives and properties in the so-called war on terror, but the government didn`t take concrete steps for wellbeing of the affected families.
Criticising the foreign policy of the federal government, he said that innocent people were being targeted for appeasing the United States and getting US dollars.
Mr Shakoor said that Pakistan had come into existence in the name of Islam, but the successive governments failed to uphold the Islamic ideology and fulfill their constitutional roles.
