PESHAWAR: Backing the strike call given by 16/12 Action Forum, a group of civil society organisations, for Dec 31 the Pakhtunkhwa Olasi Tehreek also vowed to play role for making the scheduled strike a success so as to pressurise the government for taking serious steps for elimination of terrorism.

The tehreek also announced to work for restoration of lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, Shahab Khattak advocate, a representative of the tehreek, said that the organisation would support the forum`s call for strike on Dec 31 in Peshawar and observing black day, to condemn the terrorist attack on Army Public School.

He condemned the killing of innocent schoolchildren in the Dec 16 attack. He said that people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata had rendered numerous sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. Mr Khattak urged the traders and transporters to join the strike.-Bureau Report
