GUJAR KHAN: Five people were killed and 14 others injured in a traffic accident on G.T. Road near Mandra on Thursday afternoon.

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) said an overloaded van coming to Gujar Khan from Rawalpindi skidded off the road after one of its tyres and landed into a ditch near the Ghungrila village. The police identined the deceased as Shahzeb, a resident of Chak Bhagwaal; Nauman, of Gujar Khan city; Mohammad Bashir, of Malala, Zahid Mehmood, of Jhelum, and Fazal Hussain, a resident of Khingar Mamdal village.

The injured were taken to the THQ hospital Gujar Khan and later shifted to Rawalpindi. Hamid Asghar
