ISLAMABAD: The main draw of the eighth Serena Hotels National Ranking Tennis Championship is set to kick off today (Tuesday), featuring the country`s top-ranked players in action.

The qualifying round for the championship was held earlier on Monday here at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex.

Notably, international tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi will be the part of tournament along with a stellar lineup of players, including veteran Ageel Khan, Muzammil Murtaza who won the recently concluded Benazir Bhutto National Ranking Tennis Tournament-Mohammad Shoaib, Mohammad Abid, Barkatullah, Shahzad Khan and Yousaf Khalil.

In the women`s categories, Sarah Mahboob Khan, Meheq Khokhar, Sheeza Sajid, Esha Jawad, and Amna Ali Qayum, are set to compete in this mega event.

Organisers reported a substantial turnout with 260 entries across five different categories: men`s singles, men`s doubles, ladies singles, boys U-18 and boys U-14.-Sports Reporter
