FAKE INSTITUTIONS

2023-03-27
FAKE INSTITUTIONS: The advertisement of educational institutions offering professional degrees is nothing new, but what is certainly new is the frequency of `fake` institutions placing such advertisements now. Should the credentials of institutions not be checked before publishing their advertisements? With due verification, nobody will be able to mislead the students.

Hadia Mehtab Kohat > DRIVING LICENCE: The Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) recently announced vacancies for the post of sub-inspector. Many want to apply, but the applicants have to have a driving licence which is amajor hurdle. The majority of the province lives in extreme poverty, and students from the lower classes do not have driving licences even though they know how to drive. The BPSC should do away with the driving licence condition.

People are facing a lot of difficulties in managing their affairs in the absence of stable power supply. Khuzdar gets only a few hours of electricity supply every day, which affects the water supply as well. The authorities should look into the matter.

Naseer Ahmed Khuzdar PATHETIC ROADS: After every accident, either the driver is blamed or the quality of the vehicle, but no one ever mentions the poor condition of the roads that cause many an accident. Recently, several road traffic accidents have taken place around the Airport Chowk in Turbat.

Due to the pathetic condition of the roads in the area, vehicles often get out of control even when they are being driven within the specified speed limit. The rising number of accidents at the same spot clearly shows the dangerous condition of the road. The relevant authorities should immediately take corrective steps.
