The Modi mantra

2025-04-27
THIS is with reference to the report `Congress asks BJP not to exploit massacre` (April 25). As usual, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government under Narendra Modi is busy seeking attention and engaging in dirty politics over the killing of innocent people.

Statements from Indian officials and social media posts are actively stoking anti-Pakistan sentiments around the world. Clearly, paid public relations (PR) campaigns have overtaken Indian television shows.

Modi has built his political career on right-wing politics, starting off with the infamous riots in Gujarat in 2002 when he happened to be the state chief minister.

Repeating lies until they are accepted as truth has worked for him.

Many believe Modi is a great leader trying to save the Hindus, but the fact is that has allalongbeen tryingto gain attention and, at the same time, distracting people from the real issues affecting their lives. The people in India must not fall for Modi`s lies. He loves to play the religion card to mislead the people.

The good thing is that one can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but one cannot fool all of the people all of the time.
