SWAT: Swat deputy commissioner Shahzad Mehboob on Saturday directed vaccination teams to ensure that every child across the district was reached and administered polio drops during the ongoing inoculation campaign.

He issued the directives while speaking at a meeting regarding the ongoing polio eradication campaign and development projects across the Swat district.

The performance of polio transit teams and security arrangements for the vaccinators were reviewed.

The deputy commissioner engaged with assistant and additional assistant commissioners across the tehsils through a video link, gathering updates and issuing instructions to ensure that children, who had missed vaccination, were promptly administered polio drops.

He also directed the administration, police, and health officials to further strengthen efforts for the success of the campaign.

Also, a high-level meeting was chaired by additional deputy commissioner Hamid Buneray, under the special instructions of the deputy commissioner, to discuss the widening and rehabilitation of 17 bridges from Landakay to Fatehpur along the N-95 Highway.

Deputy director National Highway Authority Anwar Usman Khattak delivered a comprehensive presentation on the project details.

The purpose of the meeting was to ensure the timely completion of the mega project and to address any obstacles promptly. Special emphasis was placed on the swift relocation of utility lines to prevent delays.Correspondent
