Workers reject PTl claims of reforming police, revenue

2017-05-27
PESHAWAR: Scores of activists of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf led by Azakhel Bala village council-Ill nazim Sardar Alam Khan on Friday rejected the provincial government`s claim about reforming the police and revenue departments, and demanded of Imran Khan to take notice of the misuse of powers by the revenue officers and policemen.

Speaking at a press conference, the nazim said the provincial government and PTl chairman Imran Khan were frequently declaring to have eradicated corruption in the two departments, but there was no truth in the claim.

`I was forced to pay Rs200,000 to a local revenue official for transfer of a piece of land,` he said.

Sardar Khan said he had all relevant proofs and could produce them to Imran Khan if he spared sometime for a meeting. `We are also associated with PTl and will remain with it but cannot sit silent on injustices.

We have learnt it from Imran Khan that no one should be a silent spectator to injustices happening around them,` he said. -Bureau Report
