ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto today [May 26] lashed out at the Opposition Members for not doing their duty to their constituents by continuing their boycott of the National Assembly, and asked them to go a step further and resign their seats telling their constituents that they had no place in the Assembly and could not discharge their duty to them. Speaking on an adjournment motion sought to be moved by Sardar Shaukat Hayat, the sole Opposition Member present today, on `the failure of the Government to implement the Feb. 6 accord, which has resulted in the deadlock` and extension of the Opposition`s boycott ... the Prime Minister said that the Opposition had now seen that by its continued boycott no purpose had been served, and they now were looking for a way out. But ... the Government was not going to bail them out.

Islamabad Bureau [Meanwhile as reported by news agencies from Beirut,] Lebanon`s military Government resigned ... just three days after it was formed to restore order in strifetorn Beirut. Following an emergency session of the cabinet presided over by him, Premier Noureddine Rifai announced his Government`s decision to resign.
