CHINIOT: Police have booked a woman and her family members for allegedly killing her father-inlaw over household disputes.

According to the FIR, Amanullah, who had been married to Irum Bibi, for six years, stated that Irum often quarrelled with him and his father Rashid Mughal of Feroz Colony, Chiniot.

On the day of the incident, Irum was at home with her sister Shahr Bano, who had come tovisit her. An argument broke out between Irum and her father-in-law.

Irum called her brothers Sajid, Ali, and Bilal and her father Ahsan, who arrived on motorcycles armed with sticks and rods. The group allegedly attacked Rashid who died on the spot.

A police spokesperson said the City police have registered a case under sections 302, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The body was shifted to DHQ Hospital for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.
