Govt forms business advisory committee

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formed a business advisory committee for effective coordination between business community and the provincial government in order to address problems of businessmen.

Chief Minister Pervez Khattak accorded approval to formation of the committee, which was proposed by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), according to a notification issued here on Sunday. It stated that FPCCI vice-president Riaz Khattak would be the chairman of the committee, while a member each from all the provincial chambers would be its members.

FPCCI vice president Riaz Khattak congratulated the business community and said for the first time a provincial government had understood the problems the business community was facing. I congratulate the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and the chief minister for constituting this committee, he added.—Bureau Report
