PESHAWAR: A notorious mobile snatcher was killed in an encounter with the police in Mardan district on Wednesday.

Officials said the mobile snatcher, Jawad, was wanted by the police in various cases.

They said the city police conducted a raid at his house on a tip-off to arrest him. However, they said the outlaw started firing on the cops.

The police returned the fire, and the mobile snatcher was killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.

His body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal procedure. — APP
