PTI WORKERS PROTEST: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf activists on saturday protested against their provincial party president Azam Khan Swati insisting he was behind the arrest of tehsil president of the party Khurram Khan.
The protest was staged outside the Saddar police station when Khurram Khan was taken before production in a local court for commotion trial.
Khurram Khan, who was shifted to the Dera Ismail Khan Central Prison after arrest under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order on July 16, insisted he was `punished` for raising voice against the killing of local cabbie Mohammad Shafgat by Afghan refugee Noor Zaman.
On the occasion, PTI divisional secretary general Sajid Mumtaz Khan said the chief minister should form a committee to initiate probe against Azam Khan Swati over the arrest of Khurram Khan.
He insisted Khurram Khan was innocent and therefore, he should be freed without delay.
