Man arrested for firing outside court

TOBA TEK SINGH: The Faisalabad Civil Lines police arrested a man on Saturday for firing outside the district and sessions court complex.

The police said that after two rival groups appeared before a court in a murder case, advocate Ismat Sindhu representing the accused and advocate Imran Bilal, the counsel of the complainant, had a quarrel outside the court.

The police claimed that during their quarrel, Nasir Mahmood of the accused partyresorted to aerial firing, however, no one was injured.

The police said that the on duty policemen outside the CPO office immediately overpowered the man and handed him over to the Civil Lines police. A case has been registered against him.

ACCIDENT: An underage motorcyclist died after a head-on collision with another bike near Adda Chak 103 GBKohal Kalan on PirmahalRajana Road on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Abdullah (15) of Ranjana.He, along with his sister Hareem Fatima (12) riding pillion, collided with a bike coming from the opposite direction when he tried to overtake a truck.

He died instantly, while his sister and the other biker, Muzammal Hussain (18), received injuries. They were shifted to the Pirmahal THQ hospital.

DIES: A man succumbed to his injuries at the burns unit of the Allied Hospital on Friday night.

The man, identified as Tanweer Ahmad, along with six others were standing near an electric transformer outside a bank in Masjid Bazar, Jaranwala four days ago. The transformer fell on them and caught fire and they received critical burns.

They were referred by doctors at the Jaranwala THQ hospitalto the Allied Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a youth identified as Saglain (20) died on Saturday at the DHQ hospital.

The young man had received an electric shock when he accidentally touched a live wire in his house in Rashidabad locality of Faisalabad on Friday.
