TAXILA, Oct 26: A woman committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills and also gave the same to her two children in Ismaeelabad area in the limits of Wah Saddar police station on Saturday.

Police said the woman`s husband was behind bars in a murder case, and due to poverty and lack of resources, she was in distress.

On Saturday, she gave poisonous pills to her son, aged 4, and daughter, agee, before consuming the poison herself.

Relatives visiting the family found the mother and children unconscious.

The family was rushed to a hospital where the mother was pronounced dead, while her children were admitted and are stated to be in critical condition.-Correspondent
