LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority teams on Monday sealed various restaurants, food production units and outlets, besides imposing fine on some others for flouting hygiene standards and laws in the city.

According to a spokesman, a PFA special team headed by Ms Ayesha Mumtaz sealed Sona Bread production unit on Bastami Road in Samanabad and Chick n` Fill restaurant in Ichhra. It also imposed fine on Data Dahi Bhally and Fruit Chaat, Lahori Dahi Bhally and Fruit Chaat and Java Family restaurant.

Another PFA team based in Allama Iqbal Town sealed Bismillah Juice and Paratha Shop in Ali Town and imposed fine on Java Karahi and Irshad restaurants.

The PFA team in Ravi Town sealed Ya-Rasool-Allah store and Java Cold Corner in Shahdara and imposed fine on Sultani Murgh Chanay. Similarly, the PFA`s Aziz Bhatti Town team sealed Abbas Milk Shop and imposed fine on Shahbaz Dahi Bhally on Allama Iqbal Road. Gulberg Town PFA officials imposed fine on Zaheer Samosa and Fancy Bakery, whereas Data Ganj Bakhsh Town team sealed Al-Najaf Milk Shop and imposed fine on Al-Fazal Milk Shop on Maula Bakhsh and Temple roads, respectively.

Officials in Nishtar Town sealed Ameen Juisce Corner and Fruit Chaat, besides imposing fine on Al-Hafiz Restaurant in the areas of Chungi Amarsadhu and Nishtar Colony.-Staff Reporter
