I WAS shocked to read (Oct 20) a letter suggesting that `It was better to exterminate these birds than to surrender our children as camel racers in the Middle East`.

Since when was this a `choice` for us to accept, either one or the other? Both are totally illegal and must be ended in the best interest of a self-respecting nation.

How can we possibly allow our foreign policies to condone and incorporate illegal and unethical practices? This is a shameful state of affairs. Wake up, Pakistan! Tariq Nazir Syed Rawalpindi
