KARACHI: Turl(ish naval ship TCG Buyukada arrived at Karachi port for a goodwill visit on Wednesday.

The ship was accorded a warm welcome and was received by senior officials of the Pakistan Navy and Turkish embassy`s staff.

During their stay in Karachi, officers of the ship will hold professional interaction with their counterparts from the Pakistan Navy on subjects of mutual interest.

Officers and personnel of the Turkish Navy will also visit various operational and training units of the Pakistan Navy and participate in different activities.Pakistan and Turkey enjoy close and warm relations of brotherhood and friendship, which are based on strong foundation of commonality of faith and interests.

The ship`s visit will be followed by combined sea exercises between the two navies.

The naval forces of both countries have played a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral bonds of friendship through such goodwill visits.

These interactions enhance understanding and interoperability between the two navies, which also contribute towards achieving peace and stability in the maritime commons.
