Entry to Senate chairman office restricted

By Our Staff Reporter 2020-10-27
ISLAMABAD: The Senate Secretariat has erected a glass gate in the corridor in front of the chairman office, restricting free movement of visitors and mediapersons.

The corridor also houses important offices where it has now become difficult for journalists to reach.

Contrary to this, the corridors outside the chambers of the president and prime minister are open for visitors and media persons.

A security person at the entrance said parliamentarians could enter the corridor freely.

The Senate chairman`s office is located on the first floor of the Parliament House, and earlier journalists could move in the corridor freely.

Despite repeated attempts, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and his staff could not be approached for comments.
