PARIS: Mohamed Fauzi Bey, Egyptian delegate, told an emergency session of the Security Council here today [Oct 26]: `I have just been talking to Cairo, and I can tell you that at this very minute fighting is still going on in Negeb.

The Council, called together to discuss Egypt`s charges that Jews had violated the Palestine truce, adjourned until Thursday [Oct 28] in spite of an Egyptian plea to continue... . Mr Warren Austin, Chairman, declared: `In due time and after proper consideration, the Security Council will act. But it cannot be lashed into action by charges of bias.

Mr Aubrey Seban (`Israel`) said the Egyptian[s] did not possess `any substantive right in Negeb` which he claimed as `by right part of the (so-called) sovereign State of Israel`.
