KARACHI: Police recovered 26 girls, aged between five and 11 years, from a two-room house in Liaquatabad C-1 area here on Wednesday.
Officials said that the girls, most of them from Bajaur tribalagency, were madressahstudentsandhad been kept at the house by the management of the seminary to settle a loan dispute with the owner of the house.
Police also picked up a woman from the house.
The girls were taken to the office of the Central SSP where people claiming to be their guardians and relatives arrived to take them home. But police said that they were looking for the girls` parents and without their consent the girls could not be handed over to anyone.
