FATEHJANG: A woman was killed and her brother was seriously injured when their rivals opened fire on them in village Jhang in jurisdiction ofBahtarpolice station.

According to police sources Naheed Akhtar, exmember tehsil municipal administration (TMA) Fatehjang and wife of a private TV Channel reporter, had a land dispute with her rivals.

When she was visiting her farmlands along with her brother Jahangir Khan and Mother Hafeeza Bagum, her rivals also came and opened fire on them, killing her on the spot.

Her brother Jahangir Khan was injured seriously, and was taken to a Rawalpindi hospital.

The accused managed to escape. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
