CHAKWAL: The District President of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Raja Yassir Humyayun Sarfraz who was arrested last Tuesday over the charges of keeping imported medicines at his medical store was released on Monday on bail.

Addressing a press conference after his release on Tuesday he said he was implicated in a fake case.

`Political victimisation of rival politicians is hallmark of Pakistan Muslim LeagueNawaz but such tactics would not deter us,` he said and added that local politiclans of PML-N particularly MPA Chaudhry Liaquat Ali Khan had no role in implicating him in the `case` and it was misreported in the press.

`The local politicians could not go to such a low level,` he maintained.

He said he was surprised when he came to know that his arrest warrants had been issued.

`After knowing about my warrants I and my other partners got pre-arrestbail but last Tuesday the bail of other five partners was confirmed by the court while I have already been in jail,` he said.

`The fault lies with this rotten system against which PTI is struggling,` he added.

He vowed that he would file a petition in the Lahore High Court for the quashing of the fake case registered against him.

Sarfraz said that he along with his partners got a franchise of a popular medical store our years ago and the matters kept on running smoothly till 2013 general elections.

`After elections raids were started on our medical store and shopping centre and we were fined`, he said.

`Pm not a businessman as Allah had given me a lot.

The income generated by medical store and shopping centres in which I have shares goes to welfare works.

Commenting on the November 30 public meeting he said that PTPs Chakwal chapter would participate in the rally with large number of workers and supporters.
