2023-11-27
GUJRANWALA: Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party (IPP) chairman Jahangir Tareen, along with President Abdul Aleem Khan and Divisional President Rana Nazir Ahmad Khan addressed at a party`s workers convention at Ghala Mandi of Kamoke on Sunday where they discussed a vision for a transformed Pakistan.

Mr Tareen said there is need for substantial changes in the country`s conditions.

Expressing disappointment over the current state of affairs, Tareen said their party would make quality education accessible for every home, and efforts would be made to create a better Pakistan.

Tareen, who had previously supported Imran Khan`s vision for a `New Pakistan,` criticised Mr Khan, stating that he had failed to deliver on the promises, causing the metaphorical sinking of the country`s ship.

He expressed confidence that the IPP, once in power, would rectify the situation and initiate transformative reforms.

President Khan pledged to build a cardiology hospital in Kamoke. He expressed gratitude for the support of Pakistan Army in the past, condemning conspiracies against the institution.

He promised free electricity for the poor and the party would set the minimum wage for labourers at Rs50,000 and provide free electricity to farmers with land up to 12 and a half acres.-Correspondent
