ISLAMABAD: Top-ranked players Ageel Khan and Mohammad Shoaib won their respective matches at the Master Cup Tennis Championships, which started at the Peshawar Services Club in Peshawar on Thursday.

Ageel defeated Yousaf Khalil 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 while Shoaib outclassed Abdullah Adnan 6-1, 6-1.

In other matches, Muzammil Murtaza overame Shahzad Khan 6-4, 6-4 and Mohammad Abid defeated Barkatullah 6-4, 6-2.

In the women`s singles event, Meheq Khokhar beat Lalarukh Sajid 6-1, 6-1 and Soha Ali overcame Mahrukh Sajid 6-1, 6-1.-Sports Reporter
