LAHORE: The Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) designated Asad Mahmood Abbasi, one of its members, as a nominee for the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) during its 278th meeting on Saturday.
Chaired by Additional Advocate General Punjab Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar Nihang, who serves as the bar`s chairman, the meeting unanimously selected Mr Abbasi to serve as a member of the JCP in accordance with Article 175-A (5) of the constitution.
