CALCUTTA: Following yesterday`s [Feb 27] armed raid at Dum Dum Airport, rioting flared up again today near Calcutta, resulting in the death of five people and injury to three.

... Today`s rioting was confined to a village in Howrah district, about 10 miles from Calcutta, where the mob was led by persons described as Communists. The police opened fire.

Five officials of the British firm Jessops and Company three of them Britons who were found missing after yesterday`s rioting, were still untraceable today.

Fourteen people have so far been arrested, two of them after yesterday`s raids, casualties in which rose today to seven killed and six injured. News agencies [Meanwhile, according to news agencies from Sibi,] the Pakistan Government intend to amalgamate the Tribal Areas of Dera Ghazi Khan (West Punjab) with either Baluchistan or the North-Western Province for administrative convenience, it was learned here today [Feb 27].
