Overhunting of birds

2024-02-28
OVERHUNTING of birds has become a significant and pressing issue throughout Balochistan, impacting various areas across the province. This alarming situation demands prompt attention of the government, as it may have severe consequences for the thriving local bird population.

Theincreasing trend ofoverhunting has resulted in a rapid decline in the number and species of birds, but it has unfortunately gone unnoticed. To address the issue effectively, the provincial government must take immediate and proactive measures. Moreover, through implementing stringent regulations and enforcing measures, we can help protect the remaining bird species and ensure their survival.

By controlling hunting practices and enforcing sustainable and responsible hunting approaches, the government can deterfurther depletion ofthe avian population.

Furthermore, raising awareness among the public about the detrimental effects ofoverhuntingcan play a crucialrole in bringing a positive change. Educational campaigns can convey the importance of preserving bird species and emphasise the need for conservation efforts. Engaging communities, local organisations and conservationists is essential. This can facilitate and help us in establishment of crucial wildlife sanctuaries as well as protected areas, providingnecessary safe havens for birds to thrive further.
