B A H AW A L P U R : Launch of The Tale of My Life and Time, an autobiography of Prof Dr Eice Muhammad (Sitara-iImtiaz) was held at the Quaid-e-Azam Medical College (QAMC), Bahawalpur.

The author is a former principal of Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC), Lahore and Sheikh Zayed Medical College (SZMC), Rahim Yar Khan, and professor of medicines in a number of country`s public and private-sector medical colleges.

In his address, Dr Eice Muhammad shed light on his struggle for the better working conditions of doctors in Pakistan, the efforts for his reinstate-ment after his release from jail (twice) during the martial law of Gen Ziaul Haq and removal from government service.

Other speakers, including QAMC, Bahawalpur, Principal Prof Dr Sufia Farrukh, former principal Dr Javed Iqbal, retired Prof Dr Munir Azhar, Prof Dr Zubair Ahmad, Dr Abdul Haleem and Dr Mulazim Hussain, lauded his services and sacrifices for the cause of medical profession and benefits of doctors during the martial law.

They remembered his services in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan and other parts of the country. Correspondent
