OKARA: Police conducted on Sunday night raids on the houses of three of the four lawyers nominated in an FIR for their alleged involvement in thrashing an assistant subinspector outside the court of additional district and sessions judge Raja Safdar on Saturday.

All the four nominated lawyers -Abdul Rehman Dogar, Rai Zulfiqar Mumdera, Malil( Nauman and Rana Azeem -got pre-arrest bail till April 11 from the court of an additional sessions judge. The nominated lawyers also filed three petitions in two separate courts stating that since police unlawfully conducted raids on their houses, cases against ASI Javad Aslam should be registered.

Lawyers Abdul Rehman Dogar and Malik Nauman filed petitions in the court of ASJ Hafiz Rizwan Aziz and lawyer Rana Azeem moved the court of ASJ Asadullah Siraj.

Both judges issued notices to police to furnish the record in their courts on March 28.
