Substandard material Two school buildings razed in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGAR H: Two technical teams on Monday got newly constructed buildings of two schools at Chak 135TDA demolished after the building experts found usage of substandard material.

This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa while talking to the media here on Monday.

He said stern action would be taken against the contractors and `irresponsible` officials of education department.

He said as many as 198 development schemes had been started here. The schemes included construction of boundary walls, washrooms and provision of electricity.

Speaking of the wheat procurement issue, the DC said he had held meetings with monitoring and police teams and no Qanoongo would be allowed to make fake reports of farmers land for Bardana. He said the agriculture teams had made 22,000 Kisan cards and computerised their land data. `Now farmers will get relief packages through Kisan cards.

The DC claimed that Rs440 million had been approved for sewerage system and other projects in Muzaffargarh.

He said missing facilities would be provided in hospitals.
