BISP counters set up at free flour points

R A W A L P I N D I : Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha has said that for the convenience of the citizens, counters have been set up for registration under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) at free flour mega points set up on Double Road and MC parking in Liaquat Bagh.

Besides a free shuttle bus service has also been started to the BISP office Scheme III.

He said that with the support of Rawalpindi Regional Transport Authority, 14 buses have been provided for this free shuttle service and on the first day, 2500 citizens have been transported to the BISP office in Scheme III and dropped back at free flour points.

The commissioner was visiting to the mega flour p oints.De pu ty C o m m i s s i o n e r Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema was also present on the occasion.

Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha said that the free shuttle service is being provided by the administration from its own resources and this service has been started for the convenience of the citizens because a large number of cities are willing to register under the Banzeer Income Support Programme to get free flour.

He said citizens who have not been registered with the Benazir Income Support Programme also come to the free flour points and there are many people who are unaware of the registration process of this programme, so for their convenience, BISP counters have been set up not only at mega points but shuttle service has also been started to BISP offices.
