OKARA: Five people suffered severe burns during a fireworks display at a wedding function in village Kekar Wali near Hujra Shah Muqeem on Saturday night.
According to a police, during the wedding celebrations of Sardar Danish Ali`s family, participants Zubair, Sher, and Manzoor allegedly set off heavy fireworks in jubilation.
Fahad, Farooq, Ali Ahmad, Abid Ali, and Ihsaan Ali were injured by the fireworks and shifted to the local hospital.
The police arrested two people involved in the fireworks. DPO Muhammad Raashid Hidayat took strict notice of the incident and directed further legal proceedings.
