TOBA TEK SINGH: A minor girl who was injured after falling from a swing at an amusement area near Faisalabad sports stadium on Saturday, succumbed to her injuries at Allied Hospital on Sunday.

On the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, the area was closed immediately and a case was registered.

GhulamMustafa, of Doctors City,lodged an FIR under Section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code at Civil Lines police station, saying that his 12-year-old daughter Hamna Mustafa had boarded the discovery swing where the operator started the ride without ensuring safety measures.

She hung precariously from the swing, and despite the hue and cry, the operator and contractor Qaiser Zaman made no effort to save her. She eventually fell and sustained critical injuries.

Hamna was rushed to Allied Hospitalwhere she died on Sunday. Police arrested the contractor and two of his employees.

Faisalabad DC retired Capt Nadim Nasir has ordered an inquiry into the incident. He appointed deputy director development, district emergency 1122 officer and district civil defence officer as members of inquiry committee. A press release said inquiry shall be completed within 48 hours. The funland has been sealed. Meanwhile, the chief minister has expressed her grief over the death of girl and sought report from the commissioner HUMAN HEAD IN GARBAGE: A motorcyclist died after being hit by a bus on Bhakkar Old Bypass Road on Sunday, resulting in his head being severed from his body.

The deceased, Muhammad Riaz, 50, was shifted to DHQ Hospital for autopsy.

However, after handing over the body to his family, hospital staff mistakenly lefthis head behind, which sweepers unknowingly threw into a garbage trolley.

When the family realised the head was missing, they rushed back to the hospital. After a search, they found the head in the garbage trolley and took it home for burial.

DIES: An accused in a narcotics case died in the lock-up of Jaranwala City police station on Sunday. Police claimed that Hassan Ali Langri fell ill and was shifted to Jaranwala THQ Hospital, where he was declared dead.

KAMALIA UNIVERSITY: The Federal Ministry of Commerce (textile wing) has nominated University of Kamalia Vice Chancellor Dr Yasir Nawab as a member of the National Technical Textiles Council, which will be headed by the federal minister.

Meanwhile, the University of Kamalia has constituted its Community Advisory Board (CAB) to strengthen community engagement and development efforts.The CAB will advise on educational needs, support socially responsive initiatives, and mobilise local resources.

The members include Dr Arshad Hanif, Muhammad AslamAnsari,DrMuhammad Riaz, Dr Arif Saleem Arif, Ahmad Faraz Sindhu, Tanveer Akhtar, Amjad Islam, Abdulgadeer Chaudhry, Sheikh Amir Shabbir and Malik Mohsin Ali.

FESTIVAL: The three-day Lyallpur Art Festival, organised by Punjab Council of Arts in collaboration with Funkar Ghar, concluded in Faisalabad on Sunday.

The festival featured a visual art exhibition, handicraft and food stalls, video vlogs, theatre performances and a Sufi night. Works by renowned artists, teachers and students were showcased, including those by Assistant Professors Zain Manzoor, Saleem Ansari, and Fariha Ghaffar.

Notable guests included visual artists Azmat Ali, Habib Alam and Atif Amir.
