PTI introduced `bidding` in politics: PML-N

PESHAWAR: PML-N provincial president Amir Muqam has said that PTI introduced `bidding` in politics, which destroyed all norms and moral values in society.

In a statement here on Sunday, he said that the politics of selling out seats, tickets and votes that started in the last Senate elections and continued also in selection of the caretaker chief ministers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Mr Muqam, who is also adviser to prime minister, said that PTI chief Imran Khan took action against his 20 members of the provincial assembly for their alleged involvement in horse-trading, but he couldn`t dare to issue a notice to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, who destroyed the province and moral values in politics.

`The chief minister was bound to take into confidence all the stakeholders and parliamentary leaders in the assembly over the selection of caretaker chief minister but he did not bother to do so and preferred the `bidding system`,` said Mr Muqam.He demanded an independent inquiry into the Senate elections and selection for caretaker chief minister.

He said that PML-N would not support any controversial person as caretaker chief minister and would raise voice againstpre-pollriggingin the province.

He said that the people judged the PTI`s policy of `change` and everyone knew that such tall claims to eliminate corruption and introduce merit were raised just to win the elections.

Mr Muqam said that Imran Khan was repeatedly talking against corruption and claiming to bring developmental revolution but his party government failed to materialise its manifesto in the province during the fiveyear term.-Bureau Report
