ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the local administration on Monday carried out a joint operation at Golra Mor at the entrance to I-14, I-15 and I-16 and demolished several illegal constructions and encroachments.An illegal service station, a workshop, tyre shops, a general store and other encroachments such as extended sheds, ramps, advertising boards and other structures were removed.

Similarly, another operation was conducted against illegal constructions on a cancelled commercial plot in G-10.

Meanwhile, IslamabadDevelopers` Association expressed concerns over the anti-encroachment operations.

Its ofhce-bearers said they were willing to cooperate with the CDA but the latter should take them into confidence prior to launching any operation.

They said suf ficient time should also be given for removing illegal structures.
